This London based PHP Job requires a coder with expertise in structured coding skills in PHP. Given that many of the sites that the successful candidate will be coding will be database-driven, expertise in MySQL / Linux, server setup, maintenance, optimisation, backup and security would also be useful.

Ideally the candidate will have DNS / Domain management skills, write clear and well documented code, be good at debugging, have the skill to deal with varied suppliers and other team-members and some management aptitude / experience for when the team grows. Certain ‘build’ tasks may need to be outsourced so experience in writing functional specs would also be helpful.

In addition to the above PHP skills, the ideal candidate for this job will have experience in the following areas (and this experience would be deal-clinching!): RSS, Blogging, Web 2.0, MP3 / Audio, Search Engines, Mobile technologies and Graphic Design. Some knowledge of Ruby on Rails would also be a clear differentiator in the interview process.

The right candidate will be both fairly remunerated and possibly given an appreciable and potentially very valuable option package within a few months of joining!
