ASP job in London

This ASP Job is London based and requires a .NET developer with expertise in both traditional ASP and the ASP.NET framework, including SQL expertise. The successful individual must have had experience in the migration from ASP to Asp.Net. Expertise in MS server setup, maintenance, optimisation, backup and security would also be useful.

This role will involve, amongst other projects, updating/streamlining ArtBank.com (and ArtistBank.com), a subsidiary company of NV London.

Ideally the candidate will have DNS / Domain management skills, write clear and well documented code, be good at on the fly debugging, have the aptitude to deal with our varied suppliers and with other members of the team. A number of our site-build tasks may need to be outsourced to external suppliers, so experience in writing functional specifications would be welcomed.

In addition to the above ASP/ASP.NET skills, we would highly prize knowledge of streaming audio, MP3 production and hosting, RSS, Blogging and other social media or “Web 2.0” fundamentals.

Our chosen candidate will be fairly remunerated and possibly given an appreciable and potentially very valuable option package within a few months of joining!

Possession of all the above list of skills is NOT mandatory and given that the tech team will be assembled around the right person, there is flexibility in the approach we take for the first few months…

As part of the interview process, candidates will be set a few simple tasks to ascertain their ASP/ASP.NET coding competence and will meet most of the team, on site at our office in Central London.
